DND Character: Halfling Ranger

Steve Tealbrush
A halfling hunter and adventurer.

For this one, the client really wanted to incorporate the diamond like shapes and patterns of a medieval gambeson while making it look like it's something created out of the spoils of a dragon they defeated in one of their adventures.
So I tried to make it look like it is crafted out of dragonhide, layered with the padded gambeson and accented by a chestguard with dragonscales plus a pauldron with dragon teeth.

Lastly I tried to capture the look of a character standing on a "base" platform just like the awesome minis that are a staple for any awesome tabletop RPG adventuring.

Experimented on adding a "base" and trying to capture the character in a specific terrain rather than a full background. Inspired ofcourse by the DND minis.

Early color blocking, if you can see, the head here is a little smaller than what I end up in the final, it makes him look more normal human proportions rather than a halfling.
